The Blue Green Alliance is sponsoring the 2010 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference, which will be held May 4-6 in Washington, D.C. at the Washington Hilton. The event focuses on transforming ideas into action and revitalizing the nation by building a green economy that creates good jobs, reduces global warming and preserves America’s economic and environmental security.

On February 23, 2010 I was privileged enough to be a part of a conference call that took place between students from college campuses around Michigan and the environmental liaisons from Senator Stabenow and Senator Levin’s office. The conference call took place to discuss important environmental concerns from students all over Michigan, and what their policy makers are doing to move Michigan’s economy forward. My environmental economics class was able to draft a series of questions for the senators offices and listen to the senators position’s on these issues.

The 2010 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference, which will be held from May 4-6, 2010, at the Hilton Washington in Washington, D.C., is a conference that focuses on the implementation of the green economy and building a revitalized, green economy that creates good jobs, reduces global warming and preserves America’s economic and environmental security. To develop the program for the 2010 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference, they are calling for proposals for workshops and panels.
