Fellowship Spotlight: 2010 Harvard Fellowships in Sustainability Science

The Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University’s Center for International Development offers doctoral, post-doctoral, and mid-career fellowships in Sustainability Science. The fellowships are tenable at the Center for International Development during Harvard’s academic year beginning in September 2010. Fellowships are available for 10 months (September 2010-May 2011), 12 months (September 2010-August 2011), the fall semester (September-December 2010), the spring semester (February-May 2011), or for two academic years (post-doctoral fellows only) (September 2010-August 2012).

Internship Spotlight: US House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee Internship and Fellowship Programs

The Energy and Commerce Committee offers three types of internships and fellowships on the majority staff: college internships, graduate internships, and post-graduate fellowships. All three programs are intended to provide educational benefit by exposing the intern or fellow to the work of the Energy and Commerce Committee.

Property and Environment Research Center Graduate Fellowship Program – Bozeman, MT

PERC’S fellowships for graduate students and law students offer the ideal opportunity for those who are interested in researching issues related to natural resources and the environment. Graduate fellows spend three months at PERC in Bozeman, Montana, researching and writing a paper under the supervision of a PERC senior fellow. While there, fellows are required to present two to three seminars to outline, report on, and summarize their research findings. A paper of publishable quality is the expected result.

Center for a New American Dream Responsible Purchasing Fellowships

The Center for a New American Dream seeks two, one-year paid Fellows for the Responsible Purchasing Network (RPN). RPN develops cutting edge strategies and resources to assist large institutions, including state and local governments, universities, and corporations, in purchasing socially and environmentally responsible products and services. Two fellowship positions are available – one starting immediately, one starting August 2009.

Fellowship Spotlight: Environmental Defense Fund Diversity Fellowship Program

Environmental Defense Fund is looking for diverse candidates who are seeking a professional experience in environmental advocacy. The Diversity Fellowship is a full-time, one-year position focused on a project that is integral to one of EDF’s key program areas – Oceans, Ecosystems, Climate or Health. The Fellow will have the opportunity to work closely with our staff on a significant project, develop core professional skills, understand our approach to environmental issues, and develop an understanding of environmental advocacy as a career path.

Fellowship Spotlight: Just Means India Social Enterprise Fellowship

Justmeans is recruiting a Social Enterprise Fellow to work out of their Pune, India office. The fellow will, among other things: Develop and scale our research team; develop a business strategy for Justmeans expansion into Asia in the first two quarters of 2010; work with one of our partners to launch an annual conference on sustainable development in India; work with our CEO, Martin Smith, to identify and secure founding academic and corporate partners for the launch of
Justmeans Asia; work with Ashoka Fellow and COO Kevin Long to develop an appropriate mobile technology strategy for India and beyond
